Introducing: Josh Rennie-Hynes
Josh Rennie-Hynes is an Australian singer-songwriter who has just released his first album, titled February, produced by Shane Nicholson. Josh has booked a 16-date tour of New Zealand that begins today in Te Awamutu and wraps up on December 14th at The Wine Cellar in Auckland. You can find all the dates to his tour here. Josh arrived in New Zealand yesterday and promptly made his way over to The 13th Floor where he recorded a brief introduction to some of the key tracks on his new album.

Lovely music, great voice (particularly in his mid-range which I hope he’ll grow to like more there are too many fancy males reaching for the high notes). “Lucy” bodes well for this guy to take the Aussie baton from his land’s incomparable greatest songwriter, Paul Kelly. Go you good thing!
