Bryan Adams Announces New Zealand Summer Tour

Bryan Adams will bring his GET UP world tour to New Zealand early next year, taking in some of the country’s most iconic and picturesque outdoor summer venues.

Presented by Neptune Entertainment and The Breeze, the tour starts on January 2 at Matakana Country Park north of Auckland, then travels to the TSB Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth on January 4. The next stop on the four-date tour is ASB Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui on January 5, before winding up at Black Barn Vineyards in Hawkes Bay on January 6.

Adams was last in New Zealand in 2013 with his Bare Bones Tour, but this will be the first time since 2003 that he will bring his full live band! Supporting artists are Kiwi legends Dave Dobbyn and Jordan Luck Band.

The Grammy and multi-award winning artist has spent the past three decades making music history. He’s sold more than 65 million records worldwide, making him one of best-selling music artists of all time.

He rose to fame in 1983 with his CUTS LIKE A KNIFE album, which contained the hits Straight From The Heart, ‘Cuts Like A Knife’ and ‘This Time’. His smash LP RECKLESS followed in 1984, delivering three of his biggest hits – Summer of ’69, ‘Heaven’ and Run To You. In 1991 he topped charts around the world with the epic power ballad, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You.

His other hits include ‘Can’t Stop This Thing We Started’, ‘Kids Wanna Rock’, ‘Please Forgive Me’, ‘The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You’, ‘Lets Make A Night To Remember’, ‘Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?’, ‘When You’re Gone’ (with Melanie C), and ‘All For Love’ (with Rod Stewart and Sting).

In 2015, he released his first album in seven years GET UP, produced by Jeff Lynne (E.L.O), featuring the hit single ‘You Belong To Me’.

Bryan Adams’ New Zealand shows come on the back of a successful world tour across the US, UK, Middle East, South America, South Africa and Europe.
