Southern Fried Sunday at the Kings Arms

Things were hopping at Auckland’s Kings Arms. This was the second week of their Southern Fried Sundays series hosted by Bernie Griffen. Three country-fried acts played and The 13th Floor was there for all the action.

First up was The Bads. Dianne Swan and Brett Adams haven’t played live for quite a few months, but they sounded as sharp as ever. Watch them perform Bushfire Sunset with The Broadsides’ David Khan sitting in on fiddle.

Next Lisa Crawley & The Conversations played. Lisa is about to set out to New York City to play a couple of shows and film a video for her new single Blind Eyes. Here they are playing the song at the Kings Arms. This time David Ward from The Broadsides helps out on banjo.

The night wrapped up with The Broadsides. They kicked up quite a fuss. Here they are closing out the evening with their version of Sinner Man.
