SNFU: Drunk on a Boat!

The history of Punk in Canada (let alone the World) can not be told without the mention of these 4 letters: SNFU. In 1996 they rocked Australia and New Zealand and 2015 sees a return of Chi and his motley crew!

From their founding in 1981 by lead singer Mr Chi Pig and brother’s Marc and Brent Belke, the band has broken up and reformed numerous times, each time gaining more and more loyal fans along the way eager to share the gospel of SNFU with the next generation. After nearly 10 full length albums, numerous EP’s and several worldwide tours, the undisputed legends have more than staked their claim in the global punk rock history books.

Not seen on NZ shores since 1996, the band currently consists of Mr. Chi Pig on vocals, masks and the occasional keytar, ex bass player Dave Bacon has been welcomed back in to the fold, Randy Steffles and Dirty Kurt Robertson on Guitar duties, and Jamie Oliver (UK Subs) on drums.

2015 sees SNFU gearing up to hit the road again to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of their influential debut album “and no one else wanted to play.” Australian and New Zealand fans can expect to hear a few favourites off that record as well as a healthy dose of classic material from the SNFU back catalogue.
