R.I.P. Charles Bradley
Daptone recording artist Charles Bradley has died at age 68. Bradley worked in obscurity for years, often performing as a James Brown impersonator, before being discovered and nurtured by Daptone Records, home to other late-blooming soul singers such as Sharon Jones and Lee Fields.
Bradley was also the subject of the 2012 documentary Soul Of America.
