Witches, Etc is the first single from Sleeping Beasts. It is a gloomy love song that floats on a bed of reversed guitar lines, twinkling Fender Rhodes, and spectral backing vocals. The B-side, Eternal Ladder is an off-kilter piano ballad propelled by a lurching, unstable drum kit.

Sleeping Beasts is the solo project of Jonathan Fair. He likes to play dreamy indie rock that straddles the line between intimate and grand.

In true DIY spirit the songs were recorded and mixed in Waipawa, Central Hawke’s Bay, alone at the end of winter 2017.
