Matthew Cooke Explains How To Make Money Selling Drugs (Interview)
Matthew Cooke is the director of How To Make Money Selling Drugs, a documentary that dares to speak the truth about the “War On Drugs” and its real cost to society. The film starts out as a humorous, tongue-in-cheek “manual” on how to become a drug kingpin, but then evolves into a sobering expose on the reality of how drugs and drug laws are crippling modern life. Along the way, Cooke interviews a parade of drug dealers, police officers and celebrities such as Susan Sarandon, Eminem, 50 Cent and The Wire’s David Simon. With the film being released on DVD in New Zealand this month, The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Matthew Cooke about making How To Make Money Selling Drugs.
