Kurt Vile & his Violators have been regular visitors to Auckland since they first played here at The Kings Arms back in 2011. At their show last night at Auckland’s Town Hall they show no sign of wearing out their welcome.
Beach Bunny: The Tuning Fork is hosting pre-teens to twenty-somethings tonight and they know how to live in the glorious present. Two great bands, openers Marmalade included.
June of 44, finally brought their live show to Aotearoa/New Zealand shores. On their one previous visit to Australia, they had a layover at Auckland Airport, but never made it into a venue, I suspected the excitement was going to be symbiotic between band and audience tonight.
Florence + The Machine closed out their Dance Fever Tour in Auckland and gave it their all. And we gave it back.
WOMAD – the World of Music, Art and Dance is celebrating it is twentieth year in New Plymouth. The music of the last one and a half days has been nothing short of brilliant. Womad has been in hiatus since 2020, following the Covid panic.
