13th Floor New Song Of The Day: Jimi Hendrix – Mannish Boy
A previously unreleased studio recording of Jimi Hendrix performing Mannish Boy has just been made public.
Hendrix’s version of the Muddy Waters blues classic was recorded at The Record Plant on April 22, 1969 with Buddy Miles on drums and Billy Cox on bass. The track will appear on the upcoming Hendrix album, Both Sides Of The Sky, which will feature other previously unreleased tracks recorded between January 1969 and February 1970.
