13th Floor New Song Of The Day: Alayna – Bliss

Kiwi-born artist Alayna grew up in Rotorua, but now calls New York City her home. Her latest single is Bliss, just released this week.

Here’s the record company blurb:

Prepare to be fully arrested by Alayna’s after-hours banger, Bliss

“I wanted to find a way to articulate the personal, intimate feeling of being completely at ease.” explains Alayna, “Bliss feels like a sigh, a softening of shoulders and a comfort in a moment with someone. Bliss feels like pure, real love.”

Always able to draw such beauty from personal experience, Alayna leaves little to be desired in Bliss (produced by Grammy nominee STINT). The track’s warmth and depth is countered by fresh, exciting production and, as always, Alayna’s crushingly beautiful vocal.

“In a way it’s the song the morning after Falling Autumn.” – Alayna

Born in New Zealand and residing in New York, Alayna has the gift of unique perspective. On top of this, she grew up listening to the great lyricists, such as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, explaining the lyrical depth of her music. Alayna’s songs aren’t just about falling in love or breaking up, there are many further layers and nuances.

Starting with a bang, Alayna has achieved almost 4 million hits on Spotify alone from her first two releases, Falling Autumn & High Off You. Spending her summer writing and playing a handful of shows, Alayna has undoubtedly got so much more to say in the near future.
